FACULTY POSITIONS
The School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. We seek applications in the broader areas of Human Computer Interaction; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (including but not limited to Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing); Robotics; Social Computing; Responsible AI (including but not limited to Ethics and Explainability); Health; Sustainability (including but not limited to Environmental Sustainability and other issues across the UN Sustainable Development Goals); and Usable Security and Privacy. These areas are of strategic importance to the School and the Institute. We will, however, consider truly outstanding candidates in all areas that support the school’s mission and expand it in strategic directions. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

Tenure-track professors are expected to teach one course per semester, provide service to the School and the Institute, and are expected to engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines.
Suitable candidates must have an established international reputation and have demonstrated exceptional impact, productivity, and leadership. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students through their research, teaching, or service activities. This includes but is not limited to: the ability to teach and mentor a diverse student body; the ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming educational and work environment; the ability to mentor and assist students interested in pursuing graduate education. Candidates are expected to have expertise in teaching, scholarship, and/or service that contributes to access, diversity, and equal opportunity in higher education.

The School of Interactive Computing (IC) is a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology located in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of five schools within the College of Computing, which is ranked among the top 10 Computer Science departments in the nation. The School includes 48 full-time tenure-track Faculty, 7 Faculty with joint appointments, and 132 PhD students. We work in a wide range of research areas relating to the interface of computing to the world. The School is affiliated with the GVU Center, the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines, the Institute for Information Security and Privacy, the Institute for People and Technology, and the Machine Learning Center.
